The Office of the State Public Defender (OSPD) is seeking attorneys to be a part of the Louisiana Appeals & Writ Service (LAWS)

Salary:

Depends on Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

Counsel shall provide legal representation in the form of supervisory writs and appeals in criminal cases and in juvenile delinquency cases where the defendant qualifies for indigent defense services;

Counsel shall consult with trial counsel as it relates to assigned writs and appeals;

Counsel shall keep the State Public Defender, or his designee, informed of the status of the writs and appeals filed and respond to their inquiries.
