Records Management Training

Each Political Subdivision is responsible for having its own record retention schedule. The Louisiana Secretary of State offers free Records Management Trainings to assist state and local entities with drafting its retention schedule. These training courses are held throughout the year and are approved for 4 hours of CLE credit. The classes are held at the Louisiana State Archives, Wade O. Martin Jr. Auditorium, 3851 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge from 8:30 AM-12:30 PM.
